BBC PANORAMA LOSES ITS VISION Is it now a British Government mouthpiece protecting the vaccine industry?
By Lisa Blakemore Brown, Psychologist
On 28th May 2009, I wrote an article about a BBC Panorama programme, ‘A Very Dangerous Doctor’ that was aired on 1 June 2009 and referred to Dr David Southall. See my article published on One Click before the BBC Panorama programme on this issue was broadcast: David Southall, 'A Very Dangerous Doctor’ - BBC Panorama swims with sharks. Expressing deep concerns about the bias I knew we could expect in this programme - and I was correct - I suggested in the section of my article headed ‘Vaccine Programme Protection’ that “protection of the vaccine programme may lie behind why both Professor Roy Meadow and Dr David Southall brought their distortions in (re Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy and other adverse reaction deflections) to start with and why they are so well protected.”
Given the glaring omissions leading to distortion within that programme aired on I June, one could only conclude that Panorama too had joined the ranks of protecting those who protect the vaccine programme/vaccine industry/UK Labour Government. In turn, of course, and tragically, by so doing and without raising one critical point, they turn a blind eye to tens of thousands of innocent children and adults (millions?) who have reacted to a vaccine or a drug and then been accused of either causing their own and/or their children’s problems or making them up. The extreme examples are occurring when mothers are falsely accused of killing their infants who reacted to vaccine, and imprisoned. See ‘What killed Sally Clark’s child?’, Neville Hodgkinson, The Spectator.
So moving on to 16 September 2009, Panorama chose to cover the Swine Flu vaccine issue. If my theory about their behaviour in the David Southall case was correct, then one would expect another biased programme – and that is what we got. See BBC Panorama ‘Swine Flu – Everything You Need To Know’. Here is a link to a website run by Dr Susan Chu MD. As you will see, after watching the programme she made complaints to Panorama for “Misleading the Public” on which swine flu vaccine the UK would be given:
You will also read in the comments that one viewer was “left feeling as if I’d just watched an hour’s worth of Government propaganda”.
A side effect of misleading the public by erroneous associations – that the UK would be getting the same flu vaccine as the US – they were able to avoid any discussion on certain adjuvants contained within that vaccine and their potential for harm. There was not a single reference to Thimerosal, squalene or aluminium.
So much for balanced reporting. So much for Panoramic vision.
So sad for the public and the right to freedom of speech and information in a so called democracy.
